Windows Media Player Sound

By abailey101 ·
I have a training course that I play over an INTRAnet site using Windows Media Player. When I attempt to play the course the volume level is way low even with the speakers turned up to the max as well as the sound levels in the volume control. When i load media player by itself the sould level is set a max.

When i view the video course i can increase the volume by hitting the up arrow.

Is there a defalut sound level setting in media player.

there is no default setting but

the player has "hot keys":
(while the player is runing minimized)
F8 mutes your player.
Hit the F8 key again to bring back the music.
F9 turns the volume down a notch.
F10 pumps up your desktop sound.

or
you can launch the player using a WSH script
and control through it the sound level.

I ended up upgrading the PC to Windows 2000 and reinstalling media player.
