Windows Movie Maker Missing Save to DVD

By bratt1769 ·
I am running Windows XP Pro fully patched. I have been working on some video editing in Windows Movie Maker and noticed that under "Finish Movie" I am missing "Save to DVD".
I have verified I have the latest Movie Maker which is 2.1 and looked at my buddy's software and he not only has the same version of operating system fully patched but the same version of Movie Maker and he has "Save to DVD". Yes I have a DVD burner in my system and burning software but I really need to be able to save my project to DVD from within Movie Maker. Any ideas?

Bratt1769 or others,
Did you ever find the download that will let you "Save to DVD" in Windows Movie Maker? I have the same computer setup as you describe. I have searched various site including Microsoft, but without success. Can you let me know how you resolved this problem and any link I can go directly to for an easy download? I was told it was a free download the microsoft, but i can't find it.
Thanks in advance.

Looking for Full Version Number

What version is your friend running of the program? What of your version. Go into HELP or ABOUT and see if there is anything more than 2.1 on them.
Mine is 2.1.4026.0 and I DO NOT have the DVD option either. Would love it if it did. You think M$ is smarter than this.
