Getting this error when trying to start DHCP Client services?

Could not start the DHCP Client service on \\VRMCNTSERV.

Error 2140: An internal Windows NT error occured?

What can I do to resolve this issue?

gee, we have your domain name and your server name. (smile). but not enuf to go on with your error. anything in event log? need event id and source. if this used to work fine, and now with no discernable cause, does not, i'd try another network card...

I would try replacing the network card drivers, if this fails the NIC may be bad. Also, look up the tcp/ip bindings, if they are not bound to the card this can happen. If these were tried and/or the NIC was replaced, uninstall and reinstall the networking components. Then reinstall the service pack. Or, if a recent update was made to the system try rolling back the service pack.
