Well, the problem lies in not haveing a full version of NT Server. It sounds like you got an evaluation version, like they ship with MS cert books. To fix this problem you have to buy a full version of the OS, or keep installing every 3 months.

It isn't necessarily the CD media though. If you have boot/install disks that were created with an eval copy of NT you will still face the evaluation time restraints. Check to make sure your CD isn't a 120 day evaluation copy, if it isn't then create new boot/install disks from the CD media and reinstall NT. To create the boot/install disks from the CD the command is WINNT /OX. Good luck

Try install it from thc CD if It is not an evaluation copy of the CD it should upgrade your existing version from and eval to a full version and keep your existion settings.

MS ships the upgrades and Full versions as the same product I think the eval product is different since it is mostly shipped CD based. The difference is the boot disks. So find the full version CD. Recreate the boot disk set from your full version then reload. I had this problem several times with the NT version upgrades, The install would ask me for the NT 3.51 CD to verify I qualified for the Version upgrade to 4.0. The problem was I kept the old software in a central office. I had been using the disks that came in the shrink wrap. I ran the WINNT /OX from the 4.0 CD. Rebooted from the new disks and loaded without a hitch.

This is a similar answer to one above but I thought I would give you some Trench Insight!
