Windows NT or 2000 ?

I need to setup a separate domain that our NT4 domain will access. My manager wants to put NT4 on this new domain but is there any reason why I can’t setup the new domain as a Win2K domain? She wants there to be a PDC but can’t I do this with 2000? All I have to do is run the dcpromo from start run menu….right?
