Ok, I had my tbird 900 with 512 megs pc133, ati radeon 64meg, SB Live, SiS900 fast ethernet2 card, asus a7v MB, and a new 40 Gig IBM HDD running fine last friday when I left for dinner. Everything was fine. I run Win98se on all of this, with the latest drivers for everything. Dinner went great, so I came home to relax even more by playing some CS, and turned on my machine, and AAAAAAAAAAA!!! 16 colors, no drivers, not even MB drivers. So I calmly go to reinstall everything, and I get a registryerror when trying to do the MB drivers first. Then I notice that there is no cd or dvd drive detected, and so I reformatted 5 times, to clear anything there, and reinstalled windows. Same deal, reg error. Even after 30 reformats, same farking error.HEEEEELP!!! What is wrong? point total on this one reflects my panic, and my desire to get back to CS. BTW, I am not a newbie, just never encountered something like this before.
