Ok….I administer a Network with about 250 Workstations and 40 servers all running NT 4.0 , except a few member servers running W2K Server 2000 and about 10 workstations running WINDOWS PRO 2000 . Now here is my problem …The W2K PRO boxes are having some type of DNS problem . Some times we can not hit a web site (mostly internal sites)or when you run User Manager it can not connect to the domain ..same problem with Exchange Admin and Server Manager , But if you close it out and try to open it agian 2 or 3 times ..It will open .The error is : “Unable to connect to domain ” ( with USRMGR ) …any way my PC as a static IP and all the others use DHCP .
We all use the same DNS , WINS and GW .
any Idea’s ???
