Recently, any time I open a native XP program such as solitaire, calculator, command prompt, etc., it takes 50-60 seconds for the program to show. The hourglass does not appear, but the hard drive cranks real hard, and nothing else is available to do during this time. After I’ve opened one or two of the programs, then everything is normal until the next time I boot up. I’ve run my ZA virus/spyware scanner, adaware, spybot, ccleaner, and regsupreme pro. No spyware or viruses, and no really bad entries in the registry. Any suggestions?
