Windows Protection Error ?

By JeffryG ·
I am working with a western digital hard drive that I have FDISK'ed & Formatted. Then I run the windows install & after it reboots I get a windows protection error and it says the system must be restarted.
I have done everything I could think of.
any info would be great.

Windows Protection Error ?

Start off by diconnecting your drives One at a time. Diconnect your cd-rom,floppy drives etc. and reboot after diconnecting each one. see if any of your drives are causing this windows protection fault. i had an iomega drive once that caused this problem. Could also be you memory or one of your add in cards.

Great advice, worked perfectly. I disconnected the zip drive & removed a newly added stick of memory.
