How to hide a P.C from the network neighbourhood by editing the windows registry of Windows 9x/NT?

You can run but you can't hide. Administrative shares have a $ but your question isn't about that. You can deny yourself access but then you deny everyone else also.Clarify your question.

Download this firewall and configure according to your needs. Turn it on and you will be invisible in network neighborhood. I know it works in win 98 cause I have it and my friends cant see me. Another way to be invisible in win98 is if you dont need to share anything out on your computer then right click on network neighborhood and click properties. Click on file and print sharing. Uncheck the box that says I want to give others access to my files. Restart and no one can see you but of course you cant share anything with them either. Zonealarm is probably the best option.
