Windows Remote Desktop

By rlynch@lockhartcadillac. ·
I am trying to troubleshoot a pc remotley on the network using remote desktop. I can connect just fine, however I would like to continue to troubleshoot with the remote pc in safe mode. When I choose to reboot the remote pc in safe mode with networking I find myself unable to connect to that pc again using remote desktop. Is there a certain config that I need to put in place inside msconfig that will reboot in safemode and still allow me access to connect back to that pc using remote desktop. Thanks in advance for any help. Both machines are running xp pro.

I am working from my laptop. I use remote desktop to access the other users pc. in order to troubleshoot, while im logged into his his remotley I need to restart his pc in safe mode. After his pc reboots, I am no longer able to remotley access his pc. So I wouldnt be able to get into his services.msc to manually start anything. I can configure his msconfig to boot to safe mode with networking, however even when that restarts I still can use remote desktop from my end to get to his pc. Hopefully this clears some stuff up. Thanks again.
