Windows repair help

by cl2002 . Updated 18 years, 10 months ago

I am no Windows XP Home edition expert that is why I am here for advice.

I have an eMachine t2200 which I bought in Jan,2003.

It came with restore disks that let me restore the computer like when I first bought it.

The only thing differnt about the computer now is it has 2 hard drives not one.

The other day I just wanted to move all my games to D drive so I moved a game folder in C to D, then defragmented C.

To my horror I discovered I lost communication with D drive, lost my ‘add/remove programs list’, and my system restore which I thought was working (I have used it many times) was NOT working.

‘MY COMPUTER’ still has the D drive present but when I click its ‘propertes’ it tells me that it needs to be formatted.

I can reinstall my whole system BUT do not want to do that if there is a quicker solution, I also don’t want to lose the DATA on D drive if there is any.

Can some one please help me get
1) DRIVE D back,
2) my system restore back
3) MY ‘add/remove programs list.

Thank you for your assistance.

Carl
