Windows Safe Mode

By rx791 ·
I'm not sure exactly how to describe this and it's really not a major issue as it is an annoying one. I have Win vista home premium on a Gateway laptop and I've noticed that when I go into safe mode or the windows recovery console appears, it loads one line at a time. For example when booting to safe mode in general your screen will fill rather instantaneously with whatever drivers the system is loading or not loading. Now it does this kind of on a line by line basis so that the boot time is slower. I only see this slow down in when going into safe mode and on a regular boot.

Anybody see this before?

When going into safe mode, the generic display drivers don't refresh (write to the screen) as fast as the normal ones do.

Don't sweat it. Stay out of safe mode!
