    Windows Scheduler – NT w/station+Server

    Locked

    by j_s ·

I’m currently running SP5 on 1 NT server
and 2 NT workstations. I can’t seem to find Windows scheduler anywhere. I have one other NT workstation with SP6 which again I can’t find Scheduler on either. Is there a way to find it? There seems to be no trace of the exe file anywhere on all the machines.
I thought SP 4 or 5 and above installed windows scheduler to replace AT – I read this somewhere on Microsoft’s site I think.
    Anyone got any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

Try checking in explorer under your \winnt dir. There is probably a Tasks folder. From there you can schedule a job. Also, you should still be able to use the AT command.

      Hope this helps.

      Hi,
SP5 will have replaced the schedule service with ‘task scheduler’. The exe for this is mstask.exe, which also supports the AT command. If you are unable to run any scheduled jobs, then check that ‘task scheduler’ is running on your machine. Hope this helps….
