Windows script to ftp to Unix server

By Bigdawg88888 ·
Is it possible to write a Windows script or a batch file to ftp a file on a Windows 2000 server to a Unix server? If so, what commands are used and how is this written?

This will be automated through Windows Task Scheduler on a nitely basis.

It depends on what FTP client you're using. Some have their own scripting built-in.

The best scripting tools in my opinion are Kixtart (www.kixtart.org) and AutoIt (www.hiddensoft.com), both free. Kix is more of a cmdline program while AutoIt is windows-based AND can be compiled.

Hi, you do not require any tool to do this. In a batch file put commands of ftp. to find ftp parameters use ftp/? on dos prompt. once you finish testing this batch file [may be with paramters too] use the "at" dos command in windows to schedule the batch file on any time or date or day of week etc. Do not end up paying a vendor for nothing.
