Windows Search Companion in Vista

by njansen . Updated 16 years, 9 months ago

I LOATHE the Windows Search feature in Windows Vista. It does not have as many search options as the search companion in Windows XP. Is there any way to use the search companion in Vista, or perhaps increase search options? I really miss being able to search for specific types of files. For instance, in Windows XP the search companion would ask me what I wanto search for and I could choose “Pictures, Music, or Video” and specify that I only want to search for Video in E:\ Drive. I really miss these options. Is there any way I could utilize this type of search in Vista?
