I am running windows server 2003 and last week one of my servers HP DL380 G3 had this message
NON SYSTEM DISK
I don’t know how it got in this state
I rebooted and got the following
Slot 0 Drive Array – Replacement drive(s) detected OR previous drive(s) now appear to be operational
SCSI Port 2: SCSI IDs 0,1
Logical drive(s) disabled due to possible data loss
Select F1 to continue with logical drive(s) disabled
Select F2 to accept data loss and to re-enable logical drive(s)
I selected F2 and the system then booted. I then set up chkdsk /f and rebooted so it would start.
I was then able to remirror my data base from the backup server and it functioned as it should all w/e.
Today a coworker went to reboot due to MS patches and got from the Smart Array controller that a drive was bad so I gave him a new drive
Now when it looks like it is coming up to the login prompt I get nothing but:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000026c
The system has been shut down.
Could this be a bad controller. I have also read this may be a winlogin.exe error….
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
