Windows/SoftwareDistribution folder

hello
Can i have some information about this folder ?
It is consuming lot of space on my Disk.

SoftwareDistribution folder

This folder is used to store the junks while windows do a automatic update. So stop the windows automatic service then rename that folder. Then for ur safe side u can put in some other partion or write in in a CD. Then start the automatic update service again.

software distribution folder

This folder contains the windows update.
