Windows timed out telnet session

By vova190181 ·
Does anybody familiar with the problem of the telnet session window that just wont close ?
The problem is this:
You opened a telnet session window in windows XP
to lets say a cisco router , after some time of inactivity the session gets close by the remote host because of the timeout. After the session is closed, the telnet window itself stays open and no matter what you do, you CAN`T close it !
You can see the application open in the Task Manager and you can see that it uses an explorer.exe process but you cannot close it. The only solution i`ve found so far is to restart the computer! Does any body have a solution ?
Thank you.
