Windows to Linux Migration

We have Windows 2000 Domain structure with two additional domain controllers and group policies implemented and also Exchnage server for the messaging. How to migrate all my windows scenario to Linux. Please help me out?

First you will need a Linux Distribution and a server. Choose one that is popular and pay for support (Like SuSE, RedHat, or Slackware).

You will need to Run SAMBA so go to thier web site and read about it. There is a lot to learn.

You will need to Run a LDAP server or keep your AD with Windows. There are a lot of variables here, but look into OpenLDAP as a solution (Novell and RedHat have good solutions too).

You will need to replace Exchange with something. There are way too many variables here. You will probably want to choose Sendmail or better.

This is a major Upgrade!

Define your goals.
Break them up into logical smaller steps.
Hire a Linux Consultant familiar with your industry.
Ask lots of questions about how to meet those specific goals.
Set up a plan to meet those goals.
