Windows update cause Adim lockout

My wife computer did an automatic Windows update, and turned off and turned back on. Now she is locked out of her admin account the password is invalid. I login into the guest account, but I can not do/ get to her programs or data. I know she should have not use admin account. It is a Windows 7 on dell P-4 2.4Ghz with 2 GB of ram How do I get back in?

You should contact Dell, TR members do not assist in password recovery

have your model, serial and service numbers handy, you'll need those. Dell Support
will be able to provide your wife with the needed tools.
TR members do not assist in password recovery or removal.

password recovery/removal issues should be taken up with Phoenix Technologies, hard drive

password recovery/removal should be taken up with the manufacturer of the hard drive, etc...

You can always hit Microsoft for a solution here as it was their Update that Hosed the system though as Dell is the OEM Supplier they have the primary responsibility of fixing the mess that they have created along with Microsoft.
