Can you explain exactly what is happening? Can you describe the procedure you are following. For example, are you going to the WindowsUpdate site or have you configured updates to be downloaded automatically?

Thanks for answering, the same updates keep reappearing if i go to microsoft website and I also have configured my windows updates to download automatically and notify and notify me when they are ready to install.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

It downloads and install successfully and I restart the computer. If i go into the Microsoft windows update website my Update Histories are showing that the updates where successfully installed..

Hope that helps.

Have one doing the same thing. Seems to have something to do with the first log file and install failing. Have not tried deleting the log file to force reinstallation and possibly fixing the error (you may want to try this). May want to contact MS on this duplication error and maybe they will fix their "FIX" update.

I would suggest you try out a trial version of Shavlik's HFNetCHKPro. It handles the Windows Updating a lot better than MSFT seems to handle it.
Further, it has some logging capabilities, which could help point you in the direction of what is actually wrong with MSFT's Windows Updates.

Good luck!
