In Windows XP (and 2000 and NT), on the login screen, the user has the option of logging onto the domain using dial-up networking (there is a checkbox underneath the domain name). I don’t see such a thing on Vista. Does anyone know how to connect to a domain via VPN from the ctrl-alt-del screen? As it is, it would seem a new remote user would never be able to log on because their profile would not previously exist on the pc, nor would they be able to authenticate to the domain because they could not access it while logging in. It seems to be a catch-22.
