Windows Vista security and the internet

By gillandrichard ·

If you have Windows Vista and its associated security software like Windows Defender etc and you are also running an anti virus checker like AVG or Avast, is there any additional security that is recommended before a new user begins to use the internet and shop online giving out credit card details etc. And if anything else is recommended then can you tell me if it is compatible with Vista.

if you have all the previous mentioned and it is kept up to date, then you should be pretty safe. Make sure that any sites you do use your CC details on are HTTPS and have the padlock symbol at the right side of the address bar in ie7/vista - then you should be safe.
