Windows Vista sound problem?

By sanwardak ·
Hi, can someone helpe me?
I installed windows vista business now I have the sound problem. I can hear when I plug the headphone, but the sound will not come out from pc's own speaker, even I connected the other speaker corectly, but still no sound. I played around with all kind of settings of sound. I am using "SoundMAx intergrated Dgital audio" When I try to update the driver it says it is up to date! I can hear the music from headphone.
Thanks in Advance

What other speaker would that be?

Generally speaking, PCs don't have integrated speakers nor do they have multiple audio outputs. It's usually just a single stereo 3.5mm jack socket that you insert a stereo jackplug into, to connect both speakers simultaneously.

Unless you have a laptop which has its own speakers.

Either way, it's a strong bet that the 3.5mm socket has stuck in the open (headphones) position and won't return to the closed (speakers) position - if it's a laptop.

If it's a desktop you'd be plugging speakers into the headphone socket, which you already know works.
