windows will not boot

I have a dell optiplex 150 I install second ram and it just went to the option for start in safe or normal mode and is locked on that screen.

Remove the RAM

Does it work again?

If so, the RAM you added may be faulty, or beyond the highest/lowest speed your system can handle. Or it could be the wrong density of RAM.

That P3 max's out at 512meg (is it worth it?)

Try to use just the new ram alone...

I'd venture you bought the ram to hold off buying another system, so why not use just 512meg with xubuntu?
