Windows Won’t boot fully, won’t boot from CD

Okay, so recently I entered a new password for my Windows XP Home Edition, and unfortunately, I typed something wrong, because I tried to log into it after restarting it and it wouldn’t let me. So after an hour of attempting to guess it, I gave up and began to try some of the methods I saw online, one of which involved repairing my Windows installation. So I inserted my windows installation CD, and ran the repairer, and it got to the point where the system rebooted and the repair would continue afterwards. Only it never did continue afterwards. I sat and waited and all I got was the flashing underscore in the upper left corner. So I forced the computer to restart using the power button. Still nothing. Now the computer won’t boot regularly (it just sits at the windows loading screen forever) and it won’t boot from a CD. What should I do now?
