Windows XP

Getting an error "Drive needs to be checked
for consistency" every day. I can not find any
reference of this error on Microsoft. If anyone
has any info, it you be very helpful

That error means that Windows XP is not shutting down properly.

The consistency check is like scandisk in win 95/98.

When ever windows thinks the computer has not shutdown properly, scan disk runs when the computer boots backup.

That is what is happening to you.

Did you convert the file system on the drive?

I gather you ran the error checking (under my computer, properties, tools). If that did not make any difference, you may want to look here:

(delete any spaces in the URL).

Talked with user some more and they inform
me that it seems to happen when the
computer(laptop) wakes up from hibernation

This is a known issue. It should be fixed in SP1 due out in August. You can try windows update, but would not get your hopes up.
