Windows XP

Hi,

Is there a way to bypass the activation in XP? A friend of mine purchased this laptop that has windows xp from someone. It has user names setup but my friend doesn’t know the password. What I did was I booted the OS in safe mode then I was able to go to the operating system. I created a new administrator account then booted the pc. When I tried to sign on, it’s asking me to activate through modem or phone. We don’t have any information of the laptop. Is there a way to get into the OS without activating? Thanks
