windows xp

when doing a clean install of windows xp pro half way through install i get a warning message saying unable to install or extract? oembios.bin skip file. so skip file windows seems to install ok untill i try to run it i then get a problem is preventing windiws from acuratly checking licence for this computer. any help on this matter would be great. (currently running 98se)
