I have a HP with WinXP Home edition. When I boot up, I come to a brand new logon screen with my user name installed and when I add PW, it gives a “account restricted error.” I am the administrator and when I use the “safe Mode” it takes my PW and let’s me in. But “safe mode” is so restrictive in use. Has anybody else had this problem, and how can I correct the problem?
I cranked this PC up in 2003 with XP already installed on “C” drive and the restore on “D” drive. If I have to I will re-format “C” but how do I do that from a “safe mode?”
