Trying to get Granddaughters Sony Vaio to boot. She does not have original XP Disk. I made a new boot.ini disk and can get to Windows XP screen, then flashing curser, then getting message bass.exe and computer shuts down. She has restore files on the computer so I can repair or restore IF I can get it started. What should I try next? Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving! I apologize.
