Windows XP , Diasble local login

By ajit.kanitkar ·
I have network having 100 Desktops with Windows XP Pro. SP2 . There is 1 Win2K Server with AD.

I need that the user using Desktops can login to server only and is not having the local Desktop name in drop -down list during login.

You need to set a password on the local administrator account

And remove the local user accounts from ALL of the machines.

Also add a second user account, set a password and add it to the local administrators group. This gives you a backup/alternate admin account on the local machine in case something messes up the "administrator" account.

If the users don't have a password to a local account they cannot log on locally.
