I have just bought a new hard drive and installed windows xp service pack 2. After the installation I tried to connect a usb device but windows did not detect it. i then checked under device manager and there is no listing for universal serial bus. I downloaded and installed the latest software for my motherboard and this still did not resolve the issue. I then downloaded and installed win xp service pack 3 and still no result
any ideas?
