Windows Xp Folder/File Access

I recently had to replace a motherboard, I used a different board then it origianaly had. My operating system xp pro. I also installed larger Hard drive. I now need to get some of the files off of the origianal drive, that were password protected, but since I am not useing the smaller drive for my operating system it will not give me access to these files. I don’t even have the option to enter a password. I have tried “Recover Private Folder Files Win XP Pro” 05/14/05 Can any one help?
