Windows XP Install fails

I am installing WindowsXP on a PII/266 mhz 64MB
of ram computer. I know this is the minimum
requirements according to Microsoft. While
installing I get an error message when the
system files are supposedly being copied.

Here is the error:

“Error: Installation failed: D:\I386\asms.
Error message: Manifest Parse error Invalid at
the top level of the document.”

“One of the components that windows needed to
continue setup could not be installed.”

Any ideas, could I just be too low on RAM (64MB)?
