Are you saying registration key code? You need a key code viewer. Small program developed by someone. Look thru internet, you might get lucky and stumble on free download.

If you are talking about the cd key you can use RockXP. This utility can also save your activation key file for safety incase you need to reinstall.

If you can still get into windows @ all and reach the internet simply download a Belarc Advisor from; (Free for personal use) Install it and launch it from the program menu or desktop, after it collects the required info of the current inventory, both hdwre. & sftware...About 3/4 of the way down will be not only the product Keys, but also the true serial #'s those keys represent for all MS software installed. I would suggest if you can to print the sheet as it will help in the reformatting of the machine.

Installation ID is a 54 code (9 blocks of 6 codes) that is required to initiate activation for Windows XP. Once MS verifies the ID, it will send a Confirmation ID (42 codes) to finalize activation.
Unfortunately, there is no software that I know of that displays the Installation ID.

If the activation is not done yet, you can display it by the procedure of activating thru telephone.
