For the last week, my home PC is acting very strange when I attempt to turn it on. Instead of the usual boot-up process, the screen immediately goes blank with a blinking _ in the upper left corner. I have to do hard shut down several times before it eventually goes through the normal start-up. This has got me very worried as I have a lot of valuable data on this machine.
Can someone provide advice /help in somewhat layman terms?
