Windows XP Persistent Connections

By gary5500 ·
IN Windows NT/2000 you were able to turn off persistent connections by the following registry edit:

Hive: HKEY_USERS
Key: .Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Network\Persistent Connections
Name: SaveConnections
Data Type: REG_SZ
Value: no

Can this same key be used in Windows XP?

The true format is as follows:

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Network\
Persistent Connections]
Value Name: SaveConnections
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data: yes or no

This works in NT/2000&XP
