Windows XP printer problem

I have an HP Officejet 1170Cse printer and have just purchased new computers with Windows XP. Under older Windows versions two sided printing was supported. Under XP MS an HP no loger support two sided printing which I use extensively in my business. HP appears to indicate they have no plans to add two sided printing support to the drivers. I tried using an older driver but XP does not allow me to load it. Any suggestions?
