I am encountering a slight problem that I thought maybe someone might have an idea on what happened. I am updating a small peer-to-peer network with both Windows XP Pro and Mac OSX machines. There is a brand new Mac Mini running Leopard acting as a file server with two other Mac OSX systems and four Windows XP Pro systems all of which retrieve files from the server. Initially I had everything working on one of the XP machines and was ready to begin working on the other machines until I updated the software on the server. Once the update completed, all hosts on the network lost the ability to connect to the shared folders placed on the server. I was able to ping the server from several of the hosts, however while attempting to map network drives an error would display saying the path was invalid. I also tried just mapping connections to the server itself without success. I was able to locate the server through My Network Places however the shared folders were not displayed. It is just a standard DHCP network with no VLANs and just a single subnet. Thanks in advance.
