Windows XP Pro as thin client server

By jckim1 ·
Is it possible to use a Windows XP Pro machine as a thin client server?

If so, can anyone recommend a good resource on the setup of such a network environment?

Yes it is possible although not a good idea.

What you need to do is have a Virtual Machine running XP on the server which would generally be some form of Nix and allow the Thin Client access to the XP Virtual Machine to do all your work.

If you do it this way it will work but it will be much slower than running the different applications natively in Nix.

What about XP Home Edition?

by Videogamer555 In reply to

I don't care about Nix OSes. I have XP Home on my computer. I hope to use it DIRECTLY (not as a virtual machine, why use it virtually when you can use it as your main OS).

Please just give me a SIMPLE setup, as that's what I'm looking for. Not OSes within OSes and Nix OSs. I'm all Windows. Last time I tried Linux it was like **** just figuring it out.
