What is the difference between Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Home Edition?. I just received a Genuine Windows XP home edition copy. Right now I am using another copy of Windows XP Professional but it is giving me alot of headache when it comes to updates etc..Especially when i installed SP2 and got that warning from Microsoft as to the authenticity of the copy i am using and i had to restore it back to where it was before the last update. I have alot of applications and i am afraid that some of them might not work under the home edition.Could an expert enlighten me ?.
I am not running an enterprise, I am just using some graphical software like AutoCAD and some software that does analysis and deals with complex calculations.
