Windows XP Professional

My Windows XP Home is behaving strange. When I try to log on. OS showing that it is logging me, but not. I use all my account on that machine but no avail. Is there any other way to log on.

You must give us more information. Try to boot in safe mode and perform an antivirus and an antispyware scan. It same to be an infection.

If you have service pack 2 installed,boot your system into save mode using the options on the f8 key at startup.There is a hidden account with no password called administrator (asp.net).Use this account to transfer all from your existing account to a new account , then reboot normally and delete your old account

Dear James,

What happening it that it log me in just show the desktop for a while and log me off. I tried all modes but same thing is happened.

In some instance it did not even show the desktop.

a virus.I had something simular which meant theat when i tried to log on to the desktop it would either log me straight out or reboot the pc.All thanks to the w32.spybot trojan.
