How do i remove windows xp professional for testing purposes only.build 2600 text from the bottom right side of my desktop?

You need to turn off the diplay version on desktop switch.

You can use TweakUI for XP to do this, or locate the key in the registry.

I don't know if either trick works for the "test" builds though. It may be built into the code as a reminder to purchase a real version of XP.

Open Regedit.
Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
In the right pane, the entry you want is called PaintDesktopVersion

Change the Value to 0

Click Ok, then log off and log in.

The version build should be gone.
