Windows XP Search Not finding files
I Need to use Explorer to search within text files for certain strings of text (example ~~9767~~~).
If the file has a standard extention such as .TXT or .DOC then the search function finds the text in it ok. The problem is that they all have an extention of .810 and even when I tell XP to look at all files it does not see them.
If I search from a Win2K box its just fine. I also added .810 to the list of file types in the FOLDER OPTIONS-FILE TYPES dialog box to no avail.
My workaround is to do all my searches on my Win2K box - not a good work around.
