Windows XP Service Pack 2

By jratliff928 ·
Just installed Windows XP Service Pack 2, now whenever I use Nortons One Button check up, on the "program integrity" phase of the check up, my computer goes into memory dump and restarts, any input to solve this problem?

Have you tried uninstalling Norton and then reinstalling it?

There is a patch offered by Norton for people having problems with xp2. I have no clue if this will fix your problem but here is the link:

You might try disabling DEP for Norton{Control Panel,.. System...Advanced...Performance,Settings,Data Execution Prevention.. check the first choice.."Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" or the second choice with an exception for Norton}. This SP2 is new to me also so please report back with your results.
