Windows XP Setup Manager

By bosston ·
tried my first Automated installation and it seems to
work except that it asked for a user account and checked
for an internet connection or Lan Network which I had to
do manually. How can I bypass this?

Also, are there any KB articles onSetup Manager and any
dos switches to be used on the XP automated installs in
Dos?
.

The installation would be trying to perform the product activation process which can only be bypassed using a microsoft volume license. This will then allow you to proceed without product activation.

I am using a volume license disk and I still get prompted to put in usernames.

I know that you can AutoActivate=Yes command to the unattend.txt file. I just want to get past filling in usernames.

Also, you can extract ref.chm and unattend.doc from Deploy.cab in the \Support\Tools\ folder on the XP CD. They should provide any additional information you need.

Sorry. My XP CD doesn't have unattend.doc. Just consult all three .chm files (ref, deploy, and setupmgr).
