Windows XP temporary user profile

By avdevich ·
I have a Windows 2003 AD DC with about 70 XP Pro clients. Some users chronically receive a temporary user profile upon logon. System states the profile cannot be found. I've reimaged some clients with no success.

The USERENT.LOG reflects errors such as:

GetGPOInfo: Local GPO's gpt.ini is not accessible, assuming default state.

PolicyChangedThread: UpdateUser failed with 1008.

I'm at a loss as I've tried so many things.

GPO groups are you running, what about moving a user into another group just for testing, also mybe create a new OU and test also, also rename the local profile to .old shutdown restart I'd try this 1st if may resolve your issue.

Hope it helps.
