Windows XP User Folder, corrupted registry…

by 1254 . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

I have searched the web for three hours now and hope someone hear can help me.

I have a user who has password protected their files (I have the Username AND Password) but their computer has developed hardware issues unrelated to the hardrive.

In addition the windows registry has become corrupted so on the RARE occasion that I am able to boot the computer it will not boot into windows.

I have removed the hard drive and put it into a USB case and can see all the files… I just can’t open the users folder due to the fact that they have password protected it.

Again, I have the Username and Password but can not find any information or tool that will allow me to access the folder and it’s contents.

I am hoping someone here can help.

Thanks in advance.
